| I once collected Gymocalycium possitively but it is no longer. Some species have still been remained. The photo is a G. ambatoense. Strong spins limit flowers to open fully. | |

| I watered asterias 2 days ago. Many of asterias pushed flowering buds up in this afternoon. Some of them opened flowers. I keep only asterias in this greenhouse. One of them, a super kabuto | |

| Discocactus is nocturnal flowering. D. horstii is in flower several times between spring and autumn. I am not sure the reason but they open flowers at same night together. They opened flowers last night. | |

| Both of Sin-watanabe and Hanazono kabutos are mixed the hanazono gene. All areoles and flecks are possible points of flowering. A Hanazono kabuto opened 30 flowers together once in my place. Because of that, this cultivar is called Hanazono (flower garden).
The history of Hanazono kabuto is unknown. | |

| Young seedlings have also been in flower. 1 of 20 seedlings of red flowering asterias was in flower in this afternoon. I sowed seeds on 8th October 2011, 3 years old. An asterias (Ruri kabuto x miracle kabuto) seedling was also in flower in the afernoon. This one is also 3 years old and is in 50 mm square tube. This should be 1st filial of a new form. | |
