| Yesterday I saw my first Trichocereus flower of the season. It was a brilliant white flower almost bigger than the plant it came from, T. schickendantzii. I took some photos but I'm currently using dial up and I'll have to wait till I get into town to upload. Also where I'm staying there was a flowering Notocactus and some Mamms. Anyone else with flowering plants yet? It'd be great to see some photos. | |

| Trig I think the most correct name for it is Turbinicarpus schmiedickeanus ssp. Rioverdensis. Yeah its a nice turb, I like the flat tubercles. And another pic from today whilst i'm here: Melocactus Peruvianus | |

| Mamm. carmenae white spined form: this species was once extremely rare in collections, near impossible to obtain and one of the ultimate prizes of the cactus grower. now it is somewhat common commercially. this specimen has unusual pink stripes through the flowers too, indicating it could be x laui. the type species has yellowish spines and white/cream flowers. | |
