Two seedlings grafted this season both have good potential. I particularly like the large areoles on both the plants but find it strange they both have pronounced albeit small spines.
Sorry about the slightly out of focus shots but I don't have a macro lens.

They look awesome, some of my peres grafts have taken from your seeds mate. Looking at your plants makes looking at my seedling so much more fun.

they look stunning! i particuarly like the bottom one! Im still trying to get grafting down-pat but i dont have enough to play around with yet

If the diameter of areoles were more than 10 mm on a mature asterias, you can call it "ooibo kabuto". Areoles on the top one is called "Andon" meaning Japanese lantern. Andon will be more than 10 mm diameter when the plant becomes mature age.
I think the top one has been turning to Kikkou.
