| Thanks Hana. past year it flowered but the flower was smaller and not so nice, strange that plants make so different flowers. The other showa plant of this topic (seedling) closed the flower without opening the pistil so we can't pollinate it. | |

| Carlo & Daniele The photo is my shinshowa-kabuto. This plant was in flower quite well as shown in the photo. I am not sure why but it is failed to open flower offten last 2 years. Hanazono | |

| We noticed too that these plants often fail to open flowers. especially those on own roots. Here there are some other cultivars in flower today: Astrophytum asterias cv hanazono Astrophytum asterias cv red flower Astrophytum asterias cv shinshowa flower carlo & daniele | |
