| I thought we could keep it nice and clean and have your buds post on the other thread named "Got buds? Post them here " and post photos of open flowers here. My Turbinicarpus swabodae was flowering today - This has 3 flowers and 1 other bud I have another one which has one flower open and another bud coming so will cross-pollinate and hopefully receive seed. My Mammillaria hahniana is still kicking. It's on it's third or forth week of flowering | |

| G'morning Kandahar and cactuscook
These species are very special for me. I crossed Thelocactus heterochromus cv Benitaka x Astrophytum caput-medusae. I got very healthy seeds but they failed germination. I will try again.
The successful germination raio of holizonthalonius seeds are very low. I scoured seeds by sand and sowed this year but I was not satisfied with the result. I will try by another method, using a chemical.

| Goodmorning to you, also. You're an insane grower Hanazono, those purple flowers are just stunning, I have never seen flowers in that so called formation before.

| I bought seeds from a seed supplier in VIC other than Benitaka. I assume he has closed off his business.
These species are very popular overseas.

| My epiphyllum which just opened within the last hour. I don't think it's the prettiest of hybrids but still a nice flower. | |

| No idea what-so-ever. Do you like it? When it was first budding up I thought it was going to be red because that's what the colour of the bud was but then as it was about to open the outside turned yellow and then it opens white! | |

| Hi Hanazono, The first thing that comes to my mind when I see these 10 flowers is SEEDS. Do you pollinate these flowers? | |

Unfortunately just one hanazono kabuto was in flower. I could not pollinate.

| This is a Mammillaria glauscens in a collection that I help take care of. The flowers on it are just starting to open. It is in a 60cm pot. The photo doesn't do it justice, as the color is a bit off being that I used me mobile phone camera. | |
