| Looks like it's out of print at the moment but their website mentions a second printrun to be coming. Either just got to wait and see or try to source a second hand copy, being out of print though even the second hand copies through amazon are pricy to say the least! | |

| Hey! Yep very expensive retailed for $299 aus when it was in print. Online over eBay/amazon/google I only found one for sale on amazon for 250 pounds which is way more aus $ apparently this book is the bees knees... 5 years ago they were saying there would be a second print run still hasn't happened so I think the longer I wait the less my chances are. I wonder if the book is as good as everyone is saying... | |

| You can try keith larkin http://www.keithscactusbooks.co.uk/ i know he has some left. There are other books a lot cheaper depends on what your after the lexicon is very in depth descriptions in book 1 and pictures are in book 2. I find the following book great heaps cheaper if you can still get it. Heaps of pics with a small description underneath. | |

| Suggest you have a look at a copy of the Lexicon before you buy it. I have it and it's a very specialist book. As Cactus Cook said, one volume is photo examples of the listed species (usually only one of each species), the other volume is the text descriptions of the species. It's very dry, with little to no growing info at all. It's more a reference for writing articles etc as it has synonyms, locality info, description info, history, etc
If you're after growing info, you'd likely be better off buying a few different books for the money you'd spend on the lexicon.
My understanding is they are doing a new revision, so it'll likely be available again in a year or two in an updated form. You might find a few of the first editions for sale second hand when the new one comes out too.. | |

| Just a heads up that the illustrations volume of the New Cactus Lexicon has been revised and re-released in a slightly smaller format paper back version. A fair bit more affordable too. Not sure if any Aussie sellers have it, but you can get it through Keith's Cactus Books... | |

| Lol I have been looking everywhere for this one. I figured by the time I get it all the classifications would have changed again. | |
