Help with Cactus ID? Empty

Hi everyone!
I have a cactus, and I have no clue what he is.
He is mature (currently corking) and from the top of the pot he is in, at his highest point he is about 15cm tall.

I will get a photo of him minus the sunnies, but any help would be great. Thank you!

He looks like a bit of a diva, I know. But for scale, The Hat he is wearing came from a tequila bottle lid, so it's smallish.

Pachycereus is what comes first to mind but I have very little faith in that being right.

Hi. Is it possible he's a Cereus trigonodendron? They look remarkably similar.

It looks to me like it might be a succulent Euphorbia (not a cactus), what with the sets two spines on what appear to be shields. Does it have any fuzzy stuff around the spines (indicates cactus)? Does it have white sticky sap (indicates Euphorbia)?

I'd be leaning more towards euphorbia.
Them tricky plants often look remarkably cactus like!
