Hi
Well, it's nearly that time of year again.
The Sydney Cactus and Succulent show is to be held on Saturday 22nd May.
Venue, as usual, is the Ryde Public School, entrance in Argyle Avenue, Ryde, with plenty of free parking in Argyle Avenue.
The display by members of The Cactus and Succulent Society of N.S.W. from 10.00a.m with admission being only $2 (from memory), pensioners $1.
Light refreshments and sausage sizzle are always popular.
I expect the display plants to be up to the usual high standard with many rare plants to make you envious.
You are welcome to join the Society at the show. Membership is quite reasonable and actually only just covers (if at all) production of the Society Journal.
Plant sales are held outside the hall, most undercover, with sellers setting up from 8a.m. or earlier.
Always some interesting and reasonably priced plants on offer, but they go quickly.
For more information ring 0419 164803.

If you are not able to attend you may like to mark your calendar for Thursday 3rd of June when the SBS TV show "Costa's Garden" is scheduled to show some highlights from their visit to the Spring 2009 Show where they spent several hours filming, no doubt to be condensed into a few minutes.
