| Really nice Hana. I particularly like the geometry of the kotschoubeyanus f Rio Verde.
Is it normal for the flowers to have those petals or is variegated?

| I think you really have brought back my eagerness to want to grow more Ariocarpus as I have been put off in the past. Really good work Hanazono.
The last one above is my favourite I've seen from you so far. Very beautiful.

| You certainly have some remarkable plants Hanazono. Very inspiring. I will have to focus on doing some more grafting myself next season. Had some successes with Arios on peres this season, but alot of failures too. Would love to try some on Harrisia some time. | |

| trigonus agavoides in the photo is grfted on Hylocereus undatus. undatus is also one of good grfting stock for Ariocarpus, I think. If you graft around 1 month old seedling, it will be in flower one year later. Hanazono | |

| Those are lovely plants. Given your obvious experience in grafting these amazing plants, would it be possible for you to show us how you achieve these extraordinary results? | |

| Lachy My seedling grfting is not special. I referred to an internet site and studied how to do. I graft 10~40 days old seedlings aftergermination onto various root stocks. My purpose of the grfting is to get seeds form my plants as soon as possilble. I still buy some seeds from VIC and graft around 50 seedlings every year. If you graft Ariocarpus in spring you may get flowers in autumn in same season. Astrophytum will get flowers in next spring. I also has many own-root seedlings germinated from seeds, collected from my grafted plants. Hanazono | |

| fissuratus v lloydii variegated? I bought seeds collected from variegated plants. Sown seeds on 11/08/05 and grafted seedlings. Only one seedling was varigated. When this plant was small, the balance of variegation was very good but it is too much currently. The appearance of the plant is "not looks like lloydii". | |
