I had never seen either of these in flower before, and as with many other species in the genus, they are exquisite.

barbadensis and plicatilis.

Love the A. plicatilis can only hope mine are old enough to flower. You actually made me run outside and check my biggest one.....and nothing... Laughing

The barbadensis colouring is great and a yellow flowering one at that. I see you have neither in the ground yet or are they staying in the pots Question

like the plicatilis ones, hope mine flower this year, it seems to be big enuf. Maybe mine are 'late bloomers'? lol

Both of these will remain as pot specimens betty, I'm not sure how plicatilis would go in the ground here. I do have a barbadensis in the ground here, and it is as big or bigger than my pot specimen, but no flowers, ...I wonder if the wet feet in winter has something to do with that.
