When I last order from Lester I email the order and he replied with confirmation and payment details (bank deposit from memory)
it all went quite smoothly

for some it would be a time consuming effort to maintain a webpage not only the setup but maintaining the stock levels etc and also the extra fee involved with operating a check out

I have to put in a reminder for Mesa gardens seed- the best source of cactus and mesemb seed, with a smattering of other things as well.

Getting seed in from overseas is OK- just look up the latin names in the AQIS ICON database (easy to find with a google search). Rarely succulents are declared weeds or on the CITES list.

Unfortunately for me, most of the ones I have a genuine interest in, are on the CITES lists

For those that want to take a gamble on what you get I'd have to give a shout to something as odd as Flower Power. They seem to have a pretty decent variety of cacti if you go there at the right time, nothing's labeled though hence the gamble bit.

Here's some plants I've picked up from 2 local stores, Blacktown and Penrith, in the last week or so.

What a nice find on the variegata! Funny you should mention Flower Power, but I just bought a Neoporteria there yesterday at the Glenhaven store.

Yup, it's a chain of 15 nurseries through NSW and VIC. Wife's a member in their garden lovers club so just about every time we go there we "earn" enough points for a $5 voucher = a free cactus for me the next time we go
Got lucky with that capricorne, wasn't going to get it untill I picked it up, turned it over and spotted the variegation. Just got to hope it keeps on growing vareigated now!

Why can't they have some of those in my local FP?

Hi, I am a private collector of epiphytic cacti living in Brisbane.

I have over a period built an Information and Mail Order Website which members may find of some interest.

I specialise in Rhipsalis, Lepismiums, Hatiora and Epiphyllums etc, quite a few of which are reasonably rare and quite hard to come by.
