Pollen Trading Thread Empty
PostSubject: Pollen Trading Thread   Pollen Trading Thread EmptyWed Sep 03, 2008 12:46 pm

Its the time of year for flowers on most cacti and I thought I would be good to have a pollen trading thread. This could be especially helpful for people who want to attempt their own Hybrids and also for self sterile plants and other Hybrids etc.

How it will work:

1. It will work much like the classifides section of the local paper: You post in the subject either WANTED if your after a specific pollen or FOR TRADE if you have pollen to trade.

2. Communication should be done through PMs so this thread is kept clean and easy to find the posts.

3 Once your trade has been completed or you no longer want the said item, please endrose the subject line and post CLOSED

Thats it. I'm not sure how needed this will be for this season but I can see it being put to good use in the future.

CLOSED******* - WANTED: Echinopsis/Trichocereus pollen.

I am looking for pollen to x with Harrissia Jusbertii. Echinopsis Eyresii would be perfect but any echinopsis will do. PM me if you have any or will have any soon. The Jusbertii is just developing flower buds now.

Lewis and Giligan,

No more Discussion in this thread please. Refer to the thread rules. We need to keep it clean so people can find what they want Smile I know its fine for now but as we get more users it will become problematic.

Will be wanting Trichocereus bridgesii/pachanoi/peruvianus pollen in a couple of/few weeks.

Will have Copiapoa hypogaea pollen in a few days. Should have Astrophytum capricorne crassipinoides x A. asterias Super Kabuto pollen in a few weeks too.

How long does pollen stay viable for?
