I have several of these plants germinating - and quite quickly might I add. Within two weeks 5 of 8 seeds have popped up.

Now I want to keep them alive!!!

They're in a round chinese container with the lid on.

The soil is quite moist.

Temperatures are ranging from around 12'C - 27'C (ambient air temp - though, I have never seen the 12'C but it was 15'C this morning brrrrrr).

What special care should I be doing from now on?

Cheers

Here's a pic of one of my babies....

SO at the moment lewis, they're very moist and warm - except for night time conditions where it gets down to the aforementioned 12'C.

So if I read it correctly, the fact they're quite moist is ok?

Just to add to this... notice how the tap root is green and clearly photosynthesizing, but what about the body?

Should I mist once per week (as I do with the other cacti)?

I have not grown obesa from seeds but other types. I got them started on my heat mat at the beginning of spring last year.

I had them in baggies for no longer than two weeks from memory. Keep them damp but not sopping. Some succulents do not like too much humidity for too long.

Keep an eye on them and if you see any changes take the lid off quick. The body how long has it been white.............somehow it does not seem right.

It's been white since day one...

I thought it was odd, but... who am I to argue with nature?

Too true, are they all like it?

If not do you get variegated in obesum?

Yes the white bit is the seed shell and the green bit is the plant.

I've purchased a few euphorbia obesa seeds and would like some
advice about germinating them.  I've googled but what information
exists is contradictory - varies from difficult/erratic to germinate
to very easy  Rolling Eyes

Specifically, what moisture levels, humidity, temperature will I need?
Cactus seeds seem to need wet/hot conditions that would rot most
other seeds.  No idea about euphorbia.
