| Wow!! They are some very cool plants there garyterence01
The flower for the blue one looks a lot like a pilosocereus species but i'm not 100% on that one.
The bottom one is definitely a polaskia chichipe. A mighty plant at that too!!
Are they yours? | |

| yes these two are a few of our large specimens. The Polaskia has lots of new growth which I need to pot on ......just never enough time in the day. I am collecting so much i am also heading for space problems......Love AIZOACEAE, AsCLEPEDIACEAE, ALOES and many more but I think I need to start restricting myself to smaller species. My wife Anne is into KALANCHOES, AIZOACEAE (Pigfaces mainly) but collects heaps of cuttings from friends so we never seem to catch up! We have heaps of rain coming...last time we lost some of our huge Ferrocactus so we are trying lowly to build up soil with heaps more sand....Luv the hobby! | |

| Just amazing. How long have you been collecting? Did you buy the ferocactus at a large size or have you grown them for a long time? | |

| have been collecting off and on for about 15 years..... Unfortunately got quite ill at one time and the garden became a mess...... Then 8 years ago married Anne and we found out we love the same plants so she got me started again..........Unfortunately a lot of my cacti are really planted in the wrong places and some are so large it is not easy to move them...... Anyway we are now doing a complete garden remake (haha in between trying to look after a one-year old)......changing soils, moving plants etc... etc... Trying to plan ahead a bit more so plants have room to grow but Anne just loves to throw heaps of things together in the same area... will post some photos when we have some areas completed in the replant. | |

| That sounds like a wonderful project. Please keep us all up to date on your progress and some pics along the way would be great for inspiration! | |

| Hi sent an email re seeds but not sure if it got through so will copy it here:
Sorry for my sow reply... ended up in hospital with the flu and still not great. I broke open heaps of capsules on the tall cacti but no seeds.....no pollinators? not too sure but the fruits seemed intact so they hadn't dropped seed.
Keeps raining here.. going to put my large species to the test and hoping they wont rot as the ground is saturated.
