| well, a few weeks ago a postsed to the introduction subforum that i had lots of cacti 'in storage' so to speak. good news - i have them back! and a reasonable proportion are dried out but alive. bad news - virtuall every tag is missing or decomposed by UV and falling apart. so i have many mystery cacti to rename... will post as flowers appear. | |

| Hi diddi
I think the first one is an Echinocereus coccineus. The third one is a Notocactus (unsure about species due to so many yellow flowered members of the genus) The last one could possibly be Echinopsis oxygona
Sorry, but unsure of the second one

| Hi diddi
Most Notocactus, I recognise, the flower has a red stamen, with yellow flowered petals, the flowers tend to be released in groups of 3-4 at a time with woolly circular/ovoid shaped flower buds, the body of the plant often tends to be dark green and has even spination. It is very hard for me to identify Notocactus and its genus complex (Parodia, Malacocarpus, Eriocactus), as they have so many similarities and have different clones in each species.

You are probably correct, the spines look bristly and brown, with the fact that Notocactus ottonis has the ability to produce suckers (see the smaller offset) http://www.cactus-art.biz/schede/NOTOCACTUS/Notocactus_arechavaletai/Notocactus_arechavaletai_limiticola/Notocactus_arechavaletai_v_limiticola_HU179.htm
