great flowers CP i have purchased a couple of different chamacereus sylvestrii myself recently and i am amazed by the difference, and when looking up the species i find that the yellow bannana graft is the same species. i am looking forward to getting some seed of mine and seing what variations can come of them.

i also purchased a lobivia arachnacantha and am about to get a flower... the plant is tiny but the flower looks like it is going to be huge!!!

once again... amazing plants CP!!!

kind regards
Darren

Thanks Darren, this year I have tried cross pollination of a couple of my chamaecereus, just to see what I get.
L arachnacantha is a nice little species, it'll be interesting to see what colour the flower is on yours, mine ispinkish red, and I used to have a white one.

i think i missed the flower of L. aracnachantha today but it looks like dark pink... it is a tiny plant only about 2cm across but the flower must have been 3-4 times the size of the plant. i am spewing that i missed it i had to work late.
hopefully i dont have to work back tomorrow and i will get a picture to compare with yours!!

Ain't it a bummer when that happens... the flower on this species is usually quite large by comparison to the plant body.

Here's a couple of pics of mine, unfortunately I lost the white one.

Nice one indeed mate!
It is now correctly labelled Echinopsis ancistrophora ssp. arachnacantha, I think this dark pink form was once known as L. ancistrophora var. torrecillacensis.
