Tubercle grafting ariocarpi

Has anyone tried this, and does it work?
Am i right in assuming that it is something along the lines of cutting off a tubercle on an ario, and grafting this to a stock? Would it then somehow pup from somewhere along the base, or am i barking up the wrong tree,...

I did try this once, it seemed to take, but just sat there for several months not doing anything at all. Then I knocked it off with my hand by accident which seems to be a habit with me.

I think some people have a bit of success with this method, but it's not the best method by far.

Any other methods that you know of? I have a 9yo retusus that i am willing to sacrifice a tubercle off, and just want to read up on the process(es) before i go ahead with it...

Not really, but am sure there will be a few others with opinions/experience here with this method.

So far my grafting has been ok, i would love to go to that next level... I just dont have too many cacti to spare for my experiments as yet...

Hopefully once my pere grafts take and grow, i'll have a more abundant supply of material...

Unless of course someone wants to donate to the cause..

I have tried more than 10 times in various ways but there have been no successfull result yet.
I have tried things which people believe" can not to do".
I think the tubercle grafting of Ariocarpus is one of good challenges.

Do you have any teks that you can put up, like what sort of tubercle you find takes best, how much, is there anything special you do to make them pup?

To it Echinopsis is best eyriesii. Choose young tuberkule from young plants. Use apparatus which I invented to it (photograph fast higher) Other Ariocarpus possible

May or june to you sounds like the growing season there, so that is perfect here...

That is as i thought... I have very few ariocarpus, 3 fissuratus, and 6 trigonus, no agavoides as yet.

Most of my grafting is with the lophophora genus, i am slowly branching out

I will try this method with my trigonus, and if i can get into the middle of it, one of my fissuratus.

I will put up some pictures later in the week with my grafts and seedlings for you

there is a winter at me now and - 20 C and at you summer probably it is white it is a snow
