| Hi Prier, I'm in canberra but I don't have much top show I'm afraid.. although.. on Sunday morning there is a guy at HALL markets ( Once a month thing) that sells cacti - from memory he has some interesting plants - crests etc. I'm hoping to get along and pick up some goodies. http://www.hartley.kaz-group.com/Default.aspx?tabid=34 | |

| tell me about it, i used to live there. from the city catch an action bus to belconnen, then get a bus to the last stop in spence. then i think youll need to catch a taxi to hall from there, maybe they have busses running to hall now? not sure havent lived there for 10 years. beware of sunday busses too, unless they have improved since i was there, itll probably take you 2 hours to get to hall. but things may have changed in 10 years, but being canberra somehow i doubt it. peace | |

| cheers, it appears nothing much has changed. I managed to hunt down the action bus info center and was given some handy info, but it looks like I'll still have a bit of a walk to get there. | |

| Hi Prier, the Hall markets aren’t that special - the cacti guy is alright but don't expect too much. The first time I visited I was a little disappointed - anyway, that said - I would be happy to pick up in civic if you like? Also can't promise the cacti guy will be there. But there will no doubt be some homemade biscuits and farm animals to look at.
Send me a pm with your details and we can work it out. I would need to pick you up at about 9:30.
Cheers

| I didn't see this thread til Sunday arvo but did head to Hall on Sunday morning specifically to find this cactus-seller. I had heard from a couple of sources that he was there...
Well, he wasn't.
The abundance and diversity of dogs at those markets is astounding though... and it seems one in 5 stalls is devoted to dog-related products too.
So if anyone ever tracks down the mysterious Canberra-cactus-market-seller-guy, can you let me know? | |
