Greetings folks,
Just had to share my news.
I have had Lester Myers catalogue for quiet some time now however was somewhat overwhelmed at first so I would just flick through it and look up the plants that caught my eye.
Anyways, last weekend I decided I would hunker down and really go through the catalogue.
Around 3 hours later I had finally constructed my wish list. Thought I would place a small order and then tick them off my list as I went.
Ended up ordering 40 cacti so perhaps not the smallest order!
So now I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my parcel, which I am having shipped to my work address as I seem to be there more than I am at home. The hard part now is not to clap and cheer when the mail room delivers it to my desk!
The prices are absolutely brilliant compared to what I have been paying and the plant list is beyond brilliant.
I did have some trouble as certain plants on the list have been re-named.
The whole re-classification of plants I find tedious and frustrating. The cacti family seems from my limited experience to be in a constant state of reclassification and renaming.
It was a lot of fun searching and trying to figure out what is what and at the end of the day I think I will stick to labeling them as they appear in the catalogue, certainly not about to go relabeling all my plants every time some bright spark decides a certain plant needs a different name.
Guess I will wrap it up there and excuse me for my little rant at the end.
The main point is the cactus army is set to grow and expand and I cannot wait!
