Thanks guys. Looks like we will escape the worst of it. Find out tomorrow what the damage will be. I hope the people in Cooktown and surrounds are ok.

Rain and more Rain, I think cooktown and tablelands has being lucky not to badly hit, thank goodness. Hope your tree didn't fall Sneaky.

Well its all over up here. We got away with nothing more then a normal monsoonal storm. Only difference is it rained for 24 hours +.

Cooktown got hammered and 60K + homes lost power down the coast. Bit of flooding but still nothing as bad as Cyclone Larry.

Worst day ever, lived here for 20 years and have never seen such flooding. Lost so many cacti and succlents broms half my green house collapsed. Creek took some as far away as km not to mention the one I don"t know about. Lost heaps of pots and potting mix not sure where to even start. I will try to put some photos up!!!!!

Thanks I think you are the only few who realy understand what it is like to lose something that you have worked so hard to achive, some of my plants are so old and valuble. I am going to just try to find what I can and get them out of rain or sun. At least being cacti they can sit dry rooted for a while.

Wow! That's terrible Jk. I hope you find some survivors under there. It was such an unpredictable storm this time around. I assume the flooding did the damage?

I am more then happy to send you a few replacement plants once you have sorted every thing out.

Day 5 things are looking a little better, I have been treasure hunting and have come up with some great finds. I have washed them and sitting them in empty trays or empty pots and they will have to wait till I get around to repotting. Some I have not found and are upset at losing. My Arocarpis is ok and my large loph is ok.

Thanks ricky, You are right the main thing is my loved ones are ok. Still finding cacti, I lucky they are hardy little buggers 5 to 6 days later they are still ok. some have sun damage though. There are a few I have being hoping to find but not as yet.
