Just wondering if anyone knows much about the desirability and legal staus of mammillaria craigii as a friend is thinking of making these available depending mainly on these two factors. Question

I believe (not an expert) that mamm's don't have any legal issues attached to them unless your in WA and maybe TAS. Possibly some quarantine issues with those states.

I think desirability is more of an individual thing. If they are big and advanced then to me, they are highly desirable but to a fanatic mamm collector any size and age would be desirable lol.

Bit vague but hope that helps.

Yeah as far as I'm aware the above from sneaky is correct. You would need paperwork to send to WA or TAS, besides that all good.

Cool, I'll pass that on. I didn't think there were any legal issue with them, at least not in NSW but never sure. Thanks for the input.

You can buy Mamm craigii in W.A from Bunnings, it seems to be one of the most prolific.

I wouldn't buy on over the net and have it shipped here though. You'd have to pay the quarantine inspection fee.
