Melocactus azureus throwing pups (I think)
Some of my collection P1010613

Unknown Caespitose Gymnocalycium
Some of my collection P1010615

Gymnocalycium Baldianum
Some of my collection P1010510

Probably one of the weirdest I have so far!
Tephrocactus articulatus papyracathus
Some of my collection P1010511

Echinopsis Hybrid var. Hakuro-jo Maru (I think)
Some of my collection P1010616

Unknown (Maybe an Echinopsis)
Some of my collection P1010617

Notocactus uebelmanianus
Some of my collection 4_07-110

Euphorbia enolpa
Some of my collection P1010512

Ferocactus electracanthus
Some of my collection P1010618

Browningia Hertlingiana cutting I planted yesterday.

Nice cacti. I do like some of the Opuntiads & Tephros, though they seem to be on the pest & weed list.

i have very few opuntias now. only kept a couple of special ones. i have one named "the cow blinder" which has heaps of furry tufts of glochids and protruding from each is a single central spine about 4cm long. nasty to repot LOL.

post your mam pics and they will soon get IDs i would think.

Haha yeah I have had some nasty run-ins with opuntia's. When I was a kid i slipped down an embankment and landed in a very large patch. Most uncomfortable week of my life!

The first Gymnocalycium could be a bruchii.
I am not normally a big fan of Ferocactus but your electracanthus is cool.

Cheers

Beautiful colour in the notocactus flowers.

I agree with the evil appeal of the feros.

I love feros too. got an absolutely lethal latispinus that I'm trying to build up the courage to re-pot.

I'd take one of those anyday over a hooked spined Mammillaria! Sure a Fero will grab hold of you but it's not hard to untangle yourself, not like 100s of tiny Mammillaria hooks!

Nice collection btw!

getting spiked! LOL a couple of days back my 60cm Pachypodium Geayi fell off the window sill...

note to self: dont attempt to catch said pachypodium in flight. had to dig out the 8 - 15 mm long spines that broke off inside my hand. not a good day, but thankfully , the PG did not break in two and lives to spike another day!

Nice catch diddi. Well worth the smile it put on my face too. I'm sure you'll agree once the spike wounds heal. Have to admit I'd do the same for any of my plants. Might curse them at the time but well worth the pain to save them.
