| Hi Hendryterok, How popular cultivation of cacti is in Indonesia? We've heared a lot about Japanese or Thailand cactus growers, I knew a few growers from Hong-Kong, Taiwan or China but know absolutely nothing about Indonesian or Korean cactus growers.. | |

| Numan, Not many seed growers in Indonesia, mostly grafting and the rootstock is hylocereus undatus(?)/dragon fruit. Collectors/nurseries usually import cacti from Thailand with limited varieties. Variegated cacti and succulents are very popular in Indonesia I myself havent tried importing cacti. I dont know the price in your country, for comparison ariocarpus furfuraceus own root diameter 12-15 cm costs US 300, variegated asterias diameter 3 cm is about US40

| sounds like you know your cacti, do you have any preferences or fav's? At the moment, i have a weird cutting of something that looks like opuntia type thing but its marbled red/pink and green, it also pumps out pups of EVERY single aerole. Thats my fav oh yeah, but its alot thinner in length and diameter compared to a Opuntia so maybe its something different. ~Kanda | |
