the spines would only be just under a cm but they are nasty sharp, I think it may just be a common Hylocereus just the particular pieces I got were old and weather hardened, they really ripped me up the new shoots off are nice normal looking young "Hylocereus-esq" I should be able to get some pics up by the weekend, I checked the wild plants out today they are covered in flowers currently hopefully some free fruit in a few weeks.
