| Hybrids of caput-medusae have been growing very slowly as I got the information on the internet. 1. myriostigma cv fukuryu x caput-medusae Same plant in the photo on 27th Feb, turned color becase of a hybrid 2. myriostigma v nudum cv khoyo, kikkou x caput-medusae Although mother plant is nudum, thick flecking on body, assuming from caput-medusae. Showing kikkou character in very early stage. 3. capricorne X caput-medusae | |

| I can't wait to see the amount of variety that comes from hybridising caput-madusae with other Astrophytums. I look forward to seeing these when they're older, especially the myriostigma v nudum cv khoyo, kikkou x caput-medusae. | |

| I took photos of 3 hybrids on 21st this month, which were introduced once on 19th April, 6 months ago. Hybrids of caput-medusae have been grown very slowly. They are around 3 cm diameter. 1. 2. 3. | |

| This caput-medusae (ex. crypto) grafted to pereskiopsis flowers slightly orange. I know it's an old flower and astro flowers often turn darker as they age but it opened this same colour. | |

| Darren I do not have any mature plants of own-root caput-medusae but these abnormal flowers are affected by grafting, I think. You can not see on the photo but stigmas of these flowers also are abnormal. You can not expect any fruits from abnormal stigmas. Hanazono | |

| Yes, Grafting is the Devils work ! These plants are pretty quick without the need for grafting.... I set seed this year on plants 2 and a half years old on their own roots.... | |

| Flower of a plant on it's own roots...it seems more compact than the grafted ones, and not sure but it looks like it has a single row of petals where your grafts may have two ? | |
