I would love to also see what plant you are taking tubecles off. I was speaking to a friend and he told my kotso is also possible from tubercles. I now have to prepare some stocks, unfortunately my peres are outside and they are still sleeping, too early to take cuttings.

time to cut up some of my competition grafts of ariocarpus retusus elongatus... i think i may have a crested one?... either that or i damaged the growth point! & i have a heap of pere ready to go. Bewdy!!!

After a long absence, I want you to present a successful attempt to fairly large plant rooting. Ariocarpus agavoides graft looks just tolerably. Who does not like trying to graft A.agavoides let ukorzenić as you can see there is a chance. I have some interesting things to introduce later in the meantime you can see on my website

I have started to try Ariocarpus tubercle grafting with 2 ways.
I think I can see some result next spring.
Scions are retusus v major cv mitsuibo (tri-fingers).

1. Pereskiopsis stock
I did same way with Pereskia grafting.


2. Myrtillocactus stock
I used super-glue.

I only have two small mature Ariocarpus right now, so I can't try this yet, but it is good to see how it is done.

Everything looks very nice. I've done it recently. Now, justt a lot of patience of you because you can get results after few months. I am very curious and want to ask for pics of your tries I mean results

Hana, did you use a spine to hold the scion on the Pereskiopsis? And is that a straight cut, or a V cut?

The method of grafting used Pereskiopsis stock is as followa:
1. Cut end of Pereskiopsis as a wedge shape
2. Make a slit on the cutting end of the scion (tubercle)
3. Insert the wedge into the slit
4. Hold the scion using a cactus spine
(Stick a spine through the tubercle and the stock)

I used this method for Pereskia graftings years ago.
