Regarding the picture of the cactus shown penetrating a brick wall.

What species would that be?  It seems very fat for its height.
Perhaps it was a "top cut" that hadn't yet rooted andso toppled over

I believe its Carnegiea Gigantea (Saguaro)
I would say it has been transplanted and they have not supported it very well, i would think it would need at least 2 weeks drying time before planting it in the ground and have strong bracing for at least 6 months, i don't think they did, hence the nice hole in the wall, poor cactus!!

Yes if you let something like that happen over here it would be criminal. Looked like a nasty bit of dammage just above where it came through the wall. also wouldn't have wanted to be in that car when the cactus fell on it.
