yeah that would be good. though 3 or 2 would be better.
old myriostigmas have a tendency to randomly develop heaps more ribs in old age.. i once saw an old 8 ribbed specimen where all the ribs had split again so it had 16 ribs!

Only thing is lewis it is almost imposible to say if/if not they are Hybrids. Would you agree ?

Nice lewis. I particularly like the double header. I reckon HN is right and the ribs are definitely remiscent of A. capricorne. Very difficult to prove/disprove this though I guess.

myriostigmas with an unsually high number of ribs do exist in the wild, just like quadricostatums do. However they are very rare in most localities (excluding of course ancient specimens that have gone crazy with dividing ribs and which were originally normal), and grow alongside normal 5 ribbed plants so they do not get variety status or any other recognition. 6 and 7 ribs are possible (so my two could be considered freak seedlings), but 8 is a bit of a far cry. it is possible, anything is, but would be a pretty rare phenomenon.
Of course, the situation is exacerbated in cultivation because myrios have been indiscriminately crossed with ornatums (and then backcrossed with both) for many years. If is it is a hybrid, then it would be with ornatum (capricorne being more difficult to cross with myriostigma if you follow the basic rules of astro hybridisation.. i.e. the plants with flowers with red centres (asterias, capricorne, coahuilense) interbreed much more readily with each other as do those with completely yellow flowers (i.e. myriostigma and ornatum). Crosses between the two groups are somewhat more difficult. OF COURSE i think every Astrophytum has been crossed successfully at some point, and this is very general and regards ease of hybridisation. The 8 ribbed plant in question does flower like a normal myriostigma.
therefore multicostatum is considered by some to be a cultivar.

in any case it is very difficult to prove either way.. other than extra ribs the plants represent in every way what a myriostigma should.

edit: ok so 8 ribbed plants are found in the wild.

Numbers of rib of some myriostigma are not stable. I bought seeds of 3 ribs myriostigma and disappointed many times. Althogh seedlings are 3 ribs, changed to more than 3 in mature.
The followings a bit different story but:
You will get flower-bud/pup likes things sometime when you grafted myriostigma. (myriostigma cv Onzuka 2003)

Although inside is porous it is possible to graft.

It was grown multi-ribed plant

I was suppliesed but this plant reduced ribs to 5 as normal.
