| Hi all, would any one have a list of cacti species that do self pollinate and ones that don't...
Cheers | |

| Most don't and those that do yield more seed from cross pollinated flowers. That said if there is a list available anywhere of all cacti I would really like to have aread of it. It's a good idea San. Note: Not sure if this is the right place for this topic though, might be better suited to the propagation forum as it directly relates to cactus fertility and breeding? Was just a thought. | |

| There is a list of self-fertile plants, however I've just switched computers and don't have the link anymore. Give me a day or so and I think I can find it.
From memory, it was not in english (maybe french or german?), however latin binomials don't change and the rest was pretty easy to figure out.

| Looks good, though haven't had a chance to have a decent look. What language is it in. I might try and translate it to make it easier for everyone here. | |

Colonne autosterile/fertile
s : autosterile, plantes hermaphrodites (allogames)
f : autofertile, plantes hermaphrodites (autogames)
sm : stérilité mâle observée chez certaines plantes
sf : stérilité femelle observée chez certaines plantes
Différents types peuvent parfois cohabiter dans la même espèce.

| Correct me in I'm wrong - but its something like this:
Probably not quite right:
different types are variable and can be associated with the same species
can sometimes grow/cohabit in/within simultaneously / within species

| Okay, I've converted the french word document into an australian excel spreadsheet that is completely in English. But to highlight what they were: s : autosterile, plants hermaphrodites f : autofertile, plants hermaphrodites sm : Male infertility observed in certain plants sf : Female infertility observed in certain plants Various types can sometimes live in the same location. I have also converted the flowering times into "english" eg 1 a 2 has become January - February. They are currently set as Northern Hemisphere times, so I am converting them to Southern Hemisphere. I am going to add six months to each month but was wondering what does everyone think.

| Here is a link to the file - will update it so that you can filter on types soon.
I have another idea that it will give you a list of what is going to flower based on todays month.
