| You know you two could save money. I hear it is good luck to steal cuttings from other plants Sometimes cuttings fall off when you pick up the plants.... I mean, I went to the botanical gardens and i didn't look where I was going and a bit of selenicereus landed in my girlfriends bag accidentally. We were going to return it.... But I planted ti instead. | |

| San Rainbow that a Psuedolithos mccoyii. The brown one second row is also a psuedolithos. I went to Bunnings today and found some lithops (first time ever here) and three little mamms Oops Slim I didn't feel guilty at all when I did that recently. The plant was ugly and needed trimming So its going to bring me luck ...............I like that | |

| My theory is - you're helping a plant spread its roots so to speak, and by doing that you're giving more life, and helping to remove CO2 from our climate changed atmosphere - so really, it's helping to save the world! Everybody should steal a cutting from a plant that is able to grow easily from vegetative cuttings - it just so happens that cacti and succulents are the best for this... We're going to save the world! | |

Thanks................ hmm now I am going to shock you. I have lived here for 22 years and have never been out there. Always mean to but something always gets in the way. They have farmers markets there every now and then on a Saturday morning but by the time I remember its on its too late. I will get out there before I leave here though

| There is actually a legal precedent in my former homeland which says that taking a cutting from a plant does not equate with theft. | |

Tula - where's your homeland may I ask? I personally think - when you see the cacti I took the cutting off of, i was doing it and the gardens a favour... And it's beginning to grow nicely here

| Lois I drive past it many times but its always closed when I do or I had someone in the car with me who would not be seen dead inside a Botanical Gardens. Maybe that is why he is an ex The cacti/succulent section was suppose to have been taken from the gardens by the river on 7th St. but it had been decimated by theft and neglect. They were in a raised ledge against a cutting that I guess was once natural before they built the raised beds etc. From memory they took were taking what they could when they started the Inland Botanical Gardens which was very little. When I first moved up here they were great to see lots of aloes, yuccas, cactus and others. Maybe there was so little left ??? | |
