hi all. i am just getting back into the field after a 7 year break. i have bought property so i can make a garden that i don't have to uproot if the landlord decides to sell my abode. interests in most cacti genera and agaves and euphorpias. worked in the nursery industry for a bit but just in it for fun these days. dont mind a swap or 2 and intrested in using technology in the hobby if anyone has good ideas.

cheers, diddi

You have come to the right place, sir Smile

since your break, have you continued collecting? I notice i collect more and more even if my life is going down the gurgeler hehe.
Anyways, welcome mate. Even though im new, its always nice meeting other cacti people.

thanks for welcome. i had about 400 different varieties when i got kicked out of my rented home cos the owners wanted to move back in. had to rip up entire garden just about and transfer everything to a nursery for 'temporary storage'. that was 7 years back. have lost some plants, but have purchased seed online and am about to embark on a permanent garden using plants that have survived OK along with whatever i can raise. also i have access to the wholesale plant industry which may be helpful. i will have about 100 sq metres available i hope with various aspects from full shade to full sun.

so i will post a seed list soon and if anyone has has good advice i will be keen to hear back. there are mesembs, agaves, a lot of african (namibia, etc) and arizona/new mexico.

i still have about 30 euphorbias which i kept in pots over the times.
