Is this an albino? Empty
PostSubject: Is this an albino?   Is this an albino? EmptyWed Apr 04, 2012 12:51 am

Hello again,
I grafted a good number of 10 day old cacti seedlings 3 weeks ago. One of them was (and still is) nearly white. Is it an albino? Is it just pale? Any experience or advice on this? Here's a photo of it on the right, with a normal one from the same batch on the left. All the other seedlings from this batch are as dark or even darker green then the one on the left in the photo.

As always, thanks to everyone for any knowledge or experience you care to share.

I would say this is at least a variegated plant and quite possibly an albino. The difficulty that you may face is maintaining the colouration as it seems that these things often just are plants that take a while to green up properly.

Let's hope then that it doesn't green up Smile
