| HI Folks, can anyone give me some advice on where I might be able to source either cuttings or seeds of any Asclepiads? I have recently got into Huernia and stapeliads and loving it. echidnopsis & caralluma too.

| Ebay and Oztion ususally has someone selling them. Markets are good places to look, I got a nice large one from Mt Gambier market for $4.00 and it was in flower. | |

| Thanks guys,
I was hoping there was somewhere that specialized in Asclepiads but it seems (in Australia anyway) you just have to keep looking! I have been very lucky since I started collecting and have a decent collection of species. Although won't really be happy until they survive winter.

| Don't think that there are any nurseries specializing in them here in Oz, at least not now that Tarrington Exotics (Rudolf Schulz) has closed up shop, as he used to have a fair few interesting ones.. But a lot of us are growing his stuff and other ascleps though, so they're definitely around. Allowed seed is occasionally available from OS via the usual sources or through joining the IAS. | |

| In the 1990s I managed to collect over 100 different species of Stapeliads, but about a third of these came from Tarrington. About a third were from random collections, and the rest from overseas seed mostly from the International Asclepiad Society.
I am recently back to collecting in a more focussed way so I am looking forward to trading material with the other stapeliad growers out there.

| I would love to jump on board of this, since it sounds like you would have lots of different varietys... But, I am afraid I would have nothing in comparison, as I have only just started collecting in the last 6-12 months..... | |

| I am down to almost nothing compared to the peak of my collection years ago. I had to sell it all to move interstate. Currently I have a few common things, some small seedlings from seed I got from a grower in Germany. Hunting new plants down is one of the best parts of collecting, and I get to do it all over again! | |
