| Hi Olga, Thanksif it can be found it will be under the name Cochemiea maritima, or Mammillaria maritima. I bought this one from Brendon Barker in Queensland, in March of 1984, it would have been a 2 year old seedling at the time. This is its first ever flower!

| What a wait! The cacti nursery has been getting a lot of new mamms, including one I just purchased called a 'louii' (which I can't find online) maybe if I am lucky I will find one there | |

It's definitely not a name that I recognise, maybe a misnomer... If you could post a pic sometimes, it's be interesting to see it... maybe I can recognise it! CP

...most of the nusery people here show little care when it comes to naming these plants, and many wouldn't know Mamm lauii from Opuntia microdasys... not trying to be unkind, but that's the reality CP

| Hi CP, my local nursery is Collector's Corner (lucky me!) so they are usually pretty good actually. I don't know if you've heard of them but it is pretty awesome | |

| I have a number of plants from Collector's Corner, some via Ebay, and some via some friends of mine who bring them over for me... Collector's corner is one of only two nurseries (that I know of) who sell cacti that are accredited to sent plants to Tas.

| I get there a few times a year but I'm afraid my last few visits to CC hasn't seen me buy anything... | |

| They own Paradisa, or paradisa owns CC I should say, so I guess they may supply some nurseries in Tas, they supply department stores and Bunnings around here anyway. My collection is still quite small Nav, so I can usually find new things, but stuff can disappear very quickly there, last time I left a couple I was interested in when I didn't have much money and they were gone three days later | |
