| i have had seeds down for queen victoria since july on my home brew heat pad and have had 0 germination but we had a warm day last week and i think the temp must have reached high 30's and low and behold i have a germination. has anyone else tried this plant and found that high temp is the answer? | |

| i have two seeds germinated now and they seem to be doing OK but it was in the first ever batch of seeds that i have tried to germinate and they are in the same tray as lithops ferocactus thelocactus and stenocactus and i germinated them in loam that i baked in the oven. i have learnt my lesson | |

| the lesson was it was all wrong... do not use organic loam and do not put all different cacti & succulants together in one big seedling tray it is too hard to control | |

| Ahh I did that last season. It gets fun when you get seedlings growing and rotting, while other species are just beginning to germinate. | |

| I don't find it to be particularly fun when my seedlings are rotting... | |
