Succulent ID - Shrivelled Leaf only Empty
PostSubject: Succulent ID - Shrivelled Leaf only   Succulent ID - Shrivelled Leaf only EmptyThu Feb 26, 2009 4:29 pm

Here's a leaf I have which I found separate from the main plant, so I have no idea what it is. I've been trying to get it to grow (any tips are appreciated over at the other thread), but I figured I'll probably end up buying a healthy plant if/when this leaf dies. It's fairly shrivelled, but hopefully someone can see what it is. The brownish bits on the end of the leaf are the actual colouration of the plant (it isn't just dead). From my fairly limited knowledge it looks like an echeveria although I'm not at all sure.

After discussion, Prier is fairly right in saying that you can't really ID what plant this leaf belongs to.

But, if I was to have a punt I would say that it's an Echeveria.

Hehe yeah, figured there's no harm in asking though. I'll see how it goes, thanks.

Well if you reckon it's an echy Kris. I'd have a go at saying it's Echevaria agavoides, just maybe.

Hmm. You can't really tell from these photos but the shape & colour were relatively the same as it looks in the pic, just plumper. Quite a long pointy leaf, but then again I have no idea where it came from, it might just not have been getting enough sun..

I guess this is just another excuse to collect every single plant I can! ^_^

That's a good attitude to have...
