Ladies and gentlemen!

It is high time the Australian Cactus Forum receives an upgrade! We are currently working on a brand new forum platform with the latest software and tonnes of storage space.

This has been a long and sometimes complicated journey to bring this project forward. Please keep a close eye on this thread and check back regularly to be one of the first to gain access to this new and exciting platform.

Your opinion matters to us. If there is anything you would like your new forum to be able to do please feel free to post suggestions below!

An easier way to post photos would be great!

Hi Walker. Thanks for the suggestion this has been a long running issue with the old format. We have ensured that there is a massive amount of space to load content for many years to come. No need for a third party host for images.

We hope to have the new format launched in early January. The new format will include a heap of new features including points, trophies and interesting titles for members achievements. We also have a new (but tightly regulated) topic for those discussions that have previously been restricted. All legitimate and interesting fields of discussion will be supported in the new format.

We also have a new cactus forum Logo which will feature on the forum.

Are the old threads going to be transferred ?

Hi Navajoa. Unfortunately the two formats aren't very compatible and we haven't found a way to transfer the data without making a huge mess. A fresh start might be a good thing though as many of the old threads are now defunct or are missing crucial images.
