Gday from Melbourne

Hi all. I'm Eric and had been lurking for the past year or so since I got bitten by the succulent/cacti bug.

Started with a harmless Haworthia attenuata and a few echeverias from friends, things quickly got out of hand.. I was buying from Bunnings, nurseries and then "graduated" to more complex stuff from Collectors Corner and eBay, put up plastic-covered "greenhouses" and outdoor sheltered display racks.. All in must have sunk in >$800 by now.

Now I found my niche with Caudex and Agave plants. I'm also starting to have enough courage to go into growing seeds. Sown a few Aloinopsis and D. elephantipes last month and tiny cotyledons have sprouted this week. Very exciting.

Thanks guys. Incidentally, I may need your help on some developments on my succulents (not cacti, hope that's ok). I posted the question here (http://forums.gardenweb.com/discussions/4238108/insect-possum-bite-marks-or-oedema)

Edit: The link will show you the pictures but basically, i'm getting white marks on the top of the leaves of some Jade and soft-leaved agaves. And they coincided with my moving them to a full 6-8 hour sun location right at the real start of spring (2 weeks back). So i suspect edema which i've only heard about ... OR possums who nest in my neighbour's roof.
