Tobacco tea as pest control?

Hey folks,

So on my cacti reading adventures I've come across mention of using tobacco tea to treat pests on cacti?
Haven't been able to find an exact recipe but from what I understand you take either some tobacco or cigarette butts pop them in some water to steep, add a wetting agent and fire at will!

Has anyone tried this? Thoughts?

I have been told that a long time ago, should experiment and tell us your results.
