Was greeted with this on coming home from work today, looks like the wind got to it... ): My daughter was in hysterics for 20 minutes. Can't say I was happy about it either. Ah well...
Ended up cutting it off as was no way to put it back together. guess I'll have a 3 foot Oreo to plant out in spring. These guys seem to be a lot more juicy and have less reinforcing in the middle than many of the trichs

yeah its now an Oreocereus horizontalis. Dam thing had a very skinny base from when i acquired it, the plant was about 45cm then, and never thickened up so guess it was always going to happen eventually.

What bad luck. I worry that I overwater my columns which may be no good in the long run.
Looks very hairy - is it a Trollii? O.Trollii have been prominent at Bunnings this summer so I grabbed a few
