can anyone help me ID this $20 gumtree special.

Can anyone help me identify this specimin.  Picked it up for $20, its about 2m tall.  pale green, with moderate amount of hair and long spines.  The new growth reminds me of Espostoa lanata but its not the same.

Not a bad buy for $20.
it does look like Espostoa Lanata,
maybe Espostoa Melanostele, but Espostoa Lanata has long spines and Melanostele has short spines and more hairy.
Any other thoughts?

Extremely good buy for $20, I have seen Espostoa that size fetch over $150. It looks fairly well grown too. Gotta be happy with that.

For ID I'm thinking Espostoa possibly Lanata, I'm no good with Espostoa ID.

I figured it may have been a hard type to pin down type due to variable nature of the species. It was in a 150mm pot when i acquired it and it has a bit of a scar just above ground level at back but looks well sealed. Needless to say I was quite happy with my acquisition and for $20 it was hard to go wrong. Thanks again.
