The dark really adds emphasis to the flowers and other shots nicely but I do miss the colour change which indicates what I've already checked in on.

Must admit I'm not a fan of the black...will it be something we can choose in our profile - like a theme ?

The black background is great!! maybe some new pictures in the Australia Cacti Forum at the top of the screen would look awesome!! they look a bit pixelated

It might be great to a quick look, but my eyes start to hurt after a few minutes of watching it.  

Obviously has issues judging by the fact that when you copy a quote to your post it just looks like a censorship panel   More tweaking required yet.

A comment on the image at the top of the site:
It might be possible to restore it to how it looked before but with a black background in a way other than how it is now with the white having been covered in black.

This is only a suggestion and might not work.

If the old (white background) image is taken and its colours inverted then it would have a black background but the colours would look strange. To fix this the image might be able to have its red/green/blue colours cycled around to match how it looked before, or look very similar.
These steps would produce an image that looks very much like the original only with a black background to match the site.

I am not sure exactly how one would do this or even if it is possible, but if it worked then that would probably fix the apparent pixellation issues of the current image.

My eyes are burning already.....the new look is good looking but very exhausting.

Don't worry I'm working on it, as I said a work in progress. Lots of work happening behind the scenes to smooth out the issues, so to speak.

I have made some further adjustments, new icons across all forums and some minor adjustments here and there.

Also an advert is in place of the gallery banner at the top, I will keep this here until we have enough revenue to upgrade the gallery (about 2 months at present rate), once the gallery target is reached it will revert back to a new improved gallery. At this point the gallery is 100% full and no more images can be added.

I hope people are liking the changes thus far, more to come soon.

To answer a few of your other questions;

No you won't be able to change the colours yourself, it must be set via admin for everyone.

Yes I'm going to fix up the ACF logo, that was done in 5min, I intend on doing three more. The first one will go up and following this members will have the opportunity to vote on the final logo via a poll on all three of the logos, *********anyone who is good with photoshop feel free to make a logo and I will put it in the poll********.
