On the back of the Adelaide hills near a town called palmer I found this old agave garden on the side of the road. It looks like it has been there for some time and there was no signs or anything to explain why it is there. Here are a few of the plants.

Wow. Marvellous discovery. One of those mysterious hidden treasures that get left behind for the observant traveller to luck upon. No doubt there's a story behind it somewhere along the way.

I know a ex president of cactus society has a property in that general area and i suspect that this is very to close to their block. Will have to get up there to have a look soon especially that nicer weather is finally here.
