grafting to Pereskiopsis Empty
PostSubject: grafting to Pereskiopsis   grafting to Pereskiopsis EmptyTue Apr 09, 2013 2:57 pm

Hello,
I have been reading a lot on grafting seedlings to Pereskiopsis, and I would like to have a go.
My problem is getting hold of some Peres stock plant as seed or cuttings.
Can anyone please advise where I may obtain some.
I live in Perth WA.

Many thanks

Thanks for the offers of plants Snah and bgossco.
I have sent Midlife a PM hoping to pick up some plants next week if possible.
If he is unavailable, could I impose on either of you kind persons instead?

Many thanks again,
much appreciated

It is always a good idea to get a few good mother plants going if you intend to graft a lot.
I have a number that I keep outside plus a few more under lights.
I also keep my supply of pere grafting stock up by growing the stock to a height that I can take a cutting of the top before using the stock. So every time I do a graft I plant a cutting that will be ready for the chop in about a months time and so the cycle continues. Smile

I tried to post this pic before but it was to big so after slashing the size again and again and again I have given up confused My shelf that I was trying to show holds 120 pere in 50mm square pots and was inspired by IX0XI and this thread http://forum.auscactiforum.net/t1427-tales-from-the-cacti-cube
