Free to good home

is anyone interested in this cutting? Its over 1 meter and is starting to root along its entire length. Its a piece from a larger plant that was removed as it was too big to handle. It wasn't labelled when i picked it up but i suspect it could be good as root stock for someone. Eastern Suburbs of melbourne, pickup.

Looks like a trich validus or peruvianus perhaps??

I suspect its not a Trich validus as its my understanding they are slow and only offset sparingly. This particular one on the otherhand is quite a rapid grower going by the 4 months I've had it and its got good growth and offsets on the main specimin i've kept.

A couple of weeks back the wind snapped this piece off one of my trichs.  Would anyone like it perhaps for some grafting stock?  Its well over a meter.  If you have something to exchange, seedling, cutting or seeds that would be nice but not essential.

I would love to add that to my collection but I'm afraid nothing I have to trade would cover the costs of freight! Nice piece though. It looks pachanoid. Any lineage info to go with it?

Yes the tyranny of distance. For me its trying to justify a trip to Lester Myers as that will be a hack of a road trip. Hopefully in a few years I can get my daughter hooked so it will be two on one. (-;

Unfortunately no linage. I paid $200 for an entire garden, truck full, of plants. Current owners were renovating and wanted the spiky stuff out. From what I could gather the former owners who sold about 10 years before were quite the plant collectors with all sorts of fantastic specimens. unfortunately most of it was overgrown and labels unreadable by the time I got in to salvage things.
