Got to be just me but 1 looks Rebutia to my eyes.

notocactus graessneri and notocactus haselbergii both look very similar to rebutia.

might need some flowers...

Does look like its' got a bud forming about halfway up the body so flowers might not be all to far away.

5.Mammillaria camptotricha: Very possible. I was tossing up between the two. Guess I'll just have to wait for flowers.

I'll keep this thread updated with bud/flower pics for No: 1. In the mean time is anyone game enough to have a stab at No:4? I don't even know where to begin with that one so any suggestions will give me a start point at least lol.

#1 cant be a Parodia/Noto. They flower from the apex.
Rebutia sounds better to me.
#2 If there are distinctive central spines it could be Oreocereus(celsianus?)
If not : Espostoa (hylaea?)
#3 Mammillaria , Can`t tell which one.
Is it dividing dichotomously ??(producing 2 heads)
#4 My first thinking was Mammillaria prolifera, but that`s not for sure.
Is the plant seed grown or a cutting?
#5Mammillaria decipiens ssp. decipiens (=Mamm. camptotricha)
#6Cereus repandus (=Cereus peruvianus)

1 is possibly a Rebutia marsoneri v Krainziana as the flower bud is coming from the side of the body instead of the apex. I didnt notice that bud forming before.
2 definitely not a oreocereus it is a epostoa that i am 100% sure

I'm starting to like the Esposta suggestion for #2.
It has very fine orange spines and extremely slow growth rate. If that helps at all.

#3 appears to be dividing
#4 I believe is seed grown. I don't think it is an m. prolifera, or at least it doesn't look much like my other M. prolifera

No. 4 next to my mam. prolifera. There certainly are some similarities in spine arrangement.

Still feels like Rebutia to me, expecially as the 2 N. haselbergii forms generally are solitary plants. Plus it just doesn't look like either of the 2 haselbergii's that I have on my benches.
Looking at that pic though is there something going on in the areole at 8 o'clock of the pup?

Edit: as for Noto's always flowering from the apex, wonder what to make of this one?

It has started to flower. At this stage they look creamy white.

Cereus repandus looks like a promising suggestion. Any one have any other ideas that might be worth exploring? Here's a more recent photo.

Yeah, it's P. magnifica with a pretty odd flower location. What makes it even more odd is the length it was holding on to the bud before it opened, the bud was already there when I bought the plant but it took a full year and a half before it opened. So it did indeed form at the apex of the plant but by the time it opened it was well away from the apex.

Can't really say what #1 is other than that I think it looks Rebutia, just about all of them look the same to me

#5 is definately M. decipiens though, mine's in flower right now too.
#2 looks Espostoa to me aswell, though mine rotted out last spring.

Whats the cactus directly behind your p. magnifica? I have one very similar but don't have a name for it.

I agree. I have settled for Epostoa ritteri for #2. I was pretty convinced #5 was m. longimamma until it went to flower so m. decipens it is.

2 down, 4 to go.

The one right behind it I don't really have a solid ID for yet but suspect it to be Mammillaria polythele, it's nowadays planted outdoors and have flowered for a few weeks.

Better look at that plant.
