| Hi all, I have been collecting cacti for a few years, though the bulk of collection has been acquired over the past 18 months. I am attempting to create a photo dairy for my collection by photographing them through different stages of growth. (Flowering, fruiting, age related changes etc.) I've joined this site in hope that other cactus lovers will help me verify the identity of some of the species in my collection and to share the limited knowledge I have gained so far.
I have some great photo's I would love to share but am not sure how to post them on this site. I've tried to attach photos to this post but the site keeps telling me they are to large to upload. How do I do it? (They are in jpeg format, straight off my camera) | |

| Hi Sneaky. You need to reduce the size of your photo's before you can post them. I use microsoft office picture manager but if you don't have that you can re size them in paint and then post as per the link that IXOXI posted.

| there is a great program call 'advanced jpeg compressor' which does it really well, or if you have photoshop you can 'save for web' and that will smash the file size | |

| Hi Sneaky
Greetings and welcome!
I like the idea of the photo diary. I used to be into photography, but that was way back when film was popular. As it went digital I kind of drifted away from it all.
Looking forward to seeing your pics!
cheers | |

| I love how you people from remote locations call living 400km apart 'close' I call my corner store 'close' 600m. Such a vast land we live in. A big Welcome. | |

| Haha 400km so close if I can drive there and back in a day i say it's close. I guess that's what I get use to for living out of town. I don't actually live in Mackay. I'm about 50km out and I drive in and out of town so much distance doesn't matter | |
