Some cacti I need help identifying!

Hi everyone! I wondered if someone can help me identify some cacti

For the first 2 I need confirmation or correction

T. Echinopsis?



M. Backebergiana?



Unknown (Echinopsis oxygona?) It has one tiny pup at the base, I saw a same sized one in Masters but it had about 5 pups growing on each rib from top to bottom!

1st I'd call Echinopsis/Trichocereus pachanoi
3 could well be any Echinopsis hybrid, possibly oxygona
4 I'd say is Echinopsis/Trichocereus candicans.

Wish I could help, but I am of absolutely no use when it comes to identifying any columnar cacti, with very few minor obvious exceptions like some of the Astrophytum series.

No worries I think I have an idea what they could be at least!

Another question is, does anyone know where I can buy a Pachycereus Pringlei/Pectin-Aboriginum? I've found some online for about $30 but does anyone reckon there could be some stray pups up for grabs in Bunnings? They seem to mainly have South American cacti, probably because they tend to be more hardy

It actually all depends on which Bunnnings you go to. Some Bunnings get all their stock from Collector's Corner, and some get all of it from Hamilton's World of Cacti. There's a few that get their stock from other places, or a mix of both.

Bought this from Bunnings today, anyone know what it is? I thought it was a T. Bridgesii when I bought it but I'm no expert

Could that be a Ferrocactus glauscens?

Could be, it was the rib formation that made me think it was some type of Trich though, could it be a hybrid of some kind?

From what I've found on google it could be a Trichocereus werdermannianus, but the spine colour is red tending to grey whereas mine are brown. Could this colour difference in the spines determine a species or could it just be something like over/underexposure to the sun that caused it?

If was a Hamiltons plant I'd hazard a guess it would of come labeled as Trichocereus pascana.

I think you're right, and I hope you are. Pasacanas are stunning when mature, pretty much identical to a Saguaro (which I've spent over a year searching for) but with more arms, the usual fast Trich. growth rate and are much less susceptible to over watering.

I'll post some pics at a later date as we should start seeing some growth now summer is approaching

The first plant is actually Trichcereus Scopulicola, feel the skin with your fingers if it is a little rough then it is most likely a Scop if it is smooth you have a Pachanoi. From the photo it looks to me to be a classic scop.

P.S call me old school but in my opinion Trichocereus not echinopsis, I know the science etc proves they are the same SP, I just prefer the old name

Actually now you've said that, I remember reading on here that Bunnings sell Scop/Pachanoi x and I think this could be one! I think Scops usually have 4-5 ribs and a complete absence of spines so maybe it could be one of those crosses?

As for the last picture I posted, do you have an opinion on what it could be? I think SnowFella could be right with Pasacana but I haven't seen any overly convincing pictures online.

I agree it is a bit early though, hopefully I'll get a bit of growth over summer and I'll post some pictures later on

They are difficult to ID when so small but the very last photo you called T.Bridgesii I think will turn out to be T.Cuzcoensis. As for the last one in your original post I have no clue.
