This one is strange for years it has grown normal and then has decided to throw a variegated offset. And before you ask yes i grafted it could not help myself.

I grafted it in Autumn it never really did much through winter for obvious reasons.

I took the following photos yesterday as it was the first Saturday in a while that i did not have to work so i was able to take pics earlier in the day when plants were in flower.
Things are warming up nicely now and plants are active again this is my favorite time of year, just wish i had more time on my hands.

Fantastic flowers mate. How long had you owned that sulco? Did the variegate offset look any different from the start?

Beautiful plants cactuscook

I also have been developing a soft spot for Sulcorebutia's. I have recently acquired a couple off someone with a very simular name as yours on ebay a Sulcorebutia arenacea and a langeri. Wink
I have a couple of others as well most of them are quite small at the moment. I will post some pics if they flower.

Cheers

I have tried but I have never had any luck, am I beter to propegate via offsets?

@Midlife - I've gotten plenty of nice cacti from that seller over the last year too. That seller often has hard to find rare plants up for sale. Don't forget to leave positive feedback!

Just un-potted one of my larger Sulco clumps that had started looking alittle sad as of late....and found a total loss. Crying or Very sad Dead rotting roots and mealie infestation in every little crevice, there just wasn't anything left that could be saved.

Here's what it looked like when I brought it home sometime last spring.
