This is the first time I've seen flowers on the Epithelantha micromeris! Very tiny but quite dainty, in their own way!

Nice pics all!! Stunning photography, I love those stripey Stenocactus flowers Lachy I think they are really underrated cacti.
Good macro shot on the Epithelantha flowers there fruitbat, they really are tiny. I think your Mammillaria may be spinosissima but there are heaps of species and many look very similar.

My new favourite Opuntia in flower... O. gosseliniana var. santa-rita

*****Spring 2011**** Post Photos of your plants - Page 2 Opunti10

The flowers are a beautiful buttery yellow, but the throat of the bloom is a rich, deep red. I also haven't noticed many, if any glochids on this one. Laughing

Funky looking Opuntia Lach. I like the Stenocereus next to it, is that a pruinosus ? They are renowned for changing colour when in bright light.

Some Astrophytum Asterias flowers. I have crossed these each way and both are producing pods. Seeds should be interesting ?

Really like the dots on the kabuto petals.
Also cool to get the orange flower nudum combo happening.
Interested to see how seeds turn out. I found nudumXs.kabuto gives nudum and s.kabuto plants not seedlings of mixed character. ie. mostly nudum with a few s.k dots.
Here's the first really good red asterias I have ever got to set seed.

Very nice plant Crypto Smile

I have another red flower nudum with a great violet colour but it was eaten by rats a few months back. Good news is the plant has gone bonkers and sent out a heap of pups, I hope it will flower again late in the season.

Late reply - but yep, HN, that's a S. pruinosis. I've also got a Polaskia or two that are also changing colour but I suspect the plants are merely stressed and need repotting into some fresh mix. Laughing

Newly purchased Notocactus roseoluteus joined the show on the bench today, must of liked the sunshine we finally got back after near a weeks worth of rain. Have to say Flowerpower has some hidden gems that you can find from time to time, wish I knew what grower they come from.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures here. Until now non of my cacti ever bloomed but I hope that this will happen prospectively. I already planned to order some flowers and then I will also order some new cacti. I am already looking forward to the new ones and hopefully they will bloom then.

Wow, that's quite a herd of Echinocereus! It's a bit of a shame that it's a genus not often seen in cultivation in Australia...
